FAQ

I’m interested in visiting Mandurah Gardens Estate, when is a good time?
You are welcome to attend our Estate at any time, however if you wish to ensure that a staff member is available to answer your questions and show you around the Estate please contact the Estate Managers on (08) 9586 8080 to arrange a suitable time.

I love the Estate, and wish to purchase a home. What am I purchasing?
At Mandurah Gardens Estate, as with most Park Home Estates, you are purchasing the home only. The land is the property of Mandurah Gardens Estate, and you sign a lifetime lease.

Why do I need to pay rent, aren’t I buying the home?
Yes, you are absolutely purchasing the house, but the land remains the property of Mandurah Gardens Estate. This saves you the cost of stamp duty, and for a modest weekly rental amount we can then provide all the facilities the Estate has to offer. This includes all Rates and Taxes, Security, Estate Management, Lawn Mowing, Rubbish Collection, Pool Maintenance and other facilities.

I have a Boat / Caravan, is there somewhere that I can store it?
At Mandurah Gardens Estate we have secure Caravan / Boat storage bays available for a very modest weekly rental amount.

I am a pensioner, is there any government assistance for the weekly rental?
Yes, the government does offer rental assistance to pensioners who qualify. Contact Centrelink for further information.

I wish to move to Mandurah Gardens Estate, but what about my pet?
We understand how important your pet is to you, and where possible we allow residents to bring their existing small dogs with them. However, we are not able to provide the facilities for larger dogs, or cats on the Estate.

What happens in the case of an emergency?
At Mandurah Gardens Estate, each home is fitted with a Medic Alert system, which is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If the alert is sounded, you will be attended in your home by fully trained First Aid personnel. If an ambulance is needed they will expedite its arrival and remain with you until the ambulance departs.

Is the Estate secure?
Mandurah Gardens Estate is regularly patrolled by trained security personnel, access is restricted with an electronic boom gate servicing the entrance road, and the Estate benefits from the services of our onsite Managers.

Are there any restrictions on who can stay at Mandurah Gardens Estate?
The Estate caters exclusively to those over the age of 55 years, and all Residents must be able to live independently.
